QUEER MUSEUM VIENNA is participating in ORF LANGE NACHT DER MUSEEN (ORF Long Night of Museums) for the first time this year! Together with our neighbours, the Volkskundemuseum Wien (Vienna Museum of Folk Life and Folk Art) and the Modellwerkstatt am Steinhof (Steinhof Model Workshop), we invite you to a special evening. Enjoy all three museums and the exciting history of the Otto Wagner Areal.

QUEER MUSEUM VIENNA is participating in ORF LANGE NACHT DER MUSEEN (ORF Long Night of Museums) for the first time this year! Together with our neighbours, the Vienna Museum of Folk Life and Folk Art and the Modellwerkstatt am Steinhof, we invite you to a special evening. Enjoy all three museums and the exciting history of the Otto Wagner complex.

Hourly guided tours of the current exhibition (English tours only on demand if there are enough people interested, the QMV exhibition has though English room texts and descriptions)

Volkskundemuseum Wien & MUSMIG MUSEUM OF MIGRATION(Pavilion 1):

Performance “Democratic?” by God’s Entertainment at 6 p.m.

Interactive workshop “Manifesto for a Museum of Migration” at 6:30 p.m.

Pop-up exhibition “Connected – Where do I belong?” at 6.30–9 p.m.

Guided tours in the MUSMIG Room at 9 p.m. and 10 p.m.

Walks and guided tours through the Otto Wagner Area from 6:45 p.m.

Modellwerkstatt am Steinhof (Pavilion 12):

Coffee and cake

Exhibition of historical architectural models of the pavilions and church, as well as historic collectables from the Otto Wagner area from the last 120 years.


Tickets are available at the Volkskundemuseum Wien: Tuesday to Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
