Let’s think about queer temporality together! This workshop is for anyone who has ever wondered why their lives follow different temporal trajectories to those of their friends and parents – and why this sometimes feels so strange. Let’s work together to develop the conceptual tools to name and understand this experience as an effect of a punishingly effective normative idea of temporality, and together reduce the shame that can arise when a life simply does not run according to the cis-heteronormative “time schedule” that is sold to us as “normal”! After a short keynote speech, we will read excerpts of texts together and relate them to our own experiences, no preparation or previous knowledge required 🙂

Depending on the participants, the workshop can be held in German or English.

This workshop is part of our programme for the exhibition “Gaps, Leaps, Fractures – Queer Temporalities.”
