About the tour at 16:00:
Curatorial guided tour with Tomka Weiß. The participating artists Vinko Nino Jaeger, Alex Salem, Persson Perry Baumgartinger, Frederik Marroquín and Danielle Pamp will take part in the dialogue-based tour and engage in conversation.
An overview of the exhibition will be given. Individual works from the rich abundance of artistic positions will be viewed and presented together. There will be space to reflect on the exhibition together and take a step back to place it in a wider context.
The tour will be in English with an occasional mix into German. Whispered translation into German is possible by prior arrangement.
Tomka Weiß is a visual artist and designer, exhibition organiser, trans* activist and co-founder of various artist collectives (including Sissy Boyz, Ärzte ohne Ängste, Pump!, Atelier Oh!). Together with Alex Giegold, he forms the duo Giegold & Weiß, which is dedicated to social and queer political issues primarily through installation art and artistic events. Weiß is a board member of the Hannchen-Mehrzweck-Stiftung. He heads the Trans*cestors project at the Schwules Museum Berlin and, together with Luan Pertl and a network of trans, inter and non-binary artists, historians and activists, is endeavouring to establish a tin archive. Current exhibition: ‘4T – The Trans Body Rights Ar/ctivist Archive’ at the Queer Museum Vienna.
Important!
We’re taking a winter break and planning to be back at the end of February/begining of March depending on our funding situation. Lots of love, Queer Museum Vienna.
