This accompanying program to the exhibition “Imagine Queer Utopia” offers insights into queer utopias, speculative archives, and collaborative artistic research processes.
In this lecture performance, Dr. Rafał Morusiewicz (they/she) presents insights into two research projects on queer utopias, speculative archives, and collaborative modes of working: Wormholes and W/ri/gh/ting Archives through Artistic Research. Both projects were developed in collaboration with Guilherme Maggessi, funded by the Austrian Science Fund (FWF), and carried out at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna. The event will be held in English.
Dr. Rafał Morusiewicz is a Vienna-based, research-oriented visual artist, curator, and writer. Holding two doctoral degrees, she works at the intersection of art, film, and research. Their research-based mid-length and short films have been presented internationally, including at Belvedere 21 – Museum of Contemporary Art, the Research Pavilion of the Venice Biennale, and at international film festivals.
